Trial licence for Molpro

Trial licences for Molpro (Linux and Mac OS X for a single machine, 30 days) are offered. This is for the purpose of evaluating the software (i.e. not for publications). After you have submitted a request by following the procedure below to record address details, it will be considered within a few days, and you will be notified of the result by email. We reserve the right to refuse to grant trial licences for any reason, and in particular we will ignore requests where the given name and address do not point to an unambiguously identifiable person.

If your request is successful, you will be told where to download the code from, and on first access you will be required to sign a licence agreement and to give details of the machine on which you wish to run the software; please note that the licence will be tied to a single machine characterised by a particular network adapter, and therefore in a cluster environment this will usually just be a single cluster node. You will then be provided with the licence token to enable the software for your machine.

  1. Create a new account to register your name, address, and email address.
  2. Submit a request for a trial licence on the account page and wait.
  3. Installation instructions are here

Trial licence for gmolpro

When a trial licence for Molpro is issued, at the same time also a trial licence for gmolpro becomes available.

To use it:
  1. As for Molpro, the trial licence is only valid for one specific computer. You have to determine its "sysid" and enter that on your account page, otherwise you cannot download a valid token and gmolpro will not run. The sysid is the same as the one for Molpro, see Molpro installation guide
  2. Download gmolpro and install it with your Linux/Mac installer.
  3. Download the token and install it, see: gmolpro installation
