Dear Jim,

mpptune.com can be run in parallel in your system and will do 
distributed matrix multiplication to determine the latency and bandwith 
of your parallel communication and then add these values to your 
molpro.rc file.

If you're running on a network with a high latency or low bandwidth then 
molpro can determine if it would be quicker to replicated work rather 
than distributed work and hit a communications bottleneck.
